A Russian theatre company known for radical political plays staged in a Warsaw theatre TR Warszawa two documentary plays: “24 Plus” – a play about intimate relations and “War is Close” referring to war in Donbas.

“24 Plus”
Love with no limits as a utopian experiment. An adult conversation of intimate relations. A classic love triangle changes in an experiment consisting in establishing the new world order. A husband, a wife and a lover found themselves in a situation when they cannot live without the other person and they try to live with it. The play consists of monologues delivered by young actors who base on their personal life experience.

WAR IS CLOSE
The first part of the play is based on the journal written by a man from Lugansk in the Eastern Ukraine, a city occupied by pro-Russian separatists in 2014. The author of journal describes two years of life in the city in a conflict zone. Two other parts include a monologue of a British playwright Mark Ravenhill and “Pomolvka” by Elena Gremina – a documentary project based on materials from the trial of Oleg Sentsov, a Ukrainian film director and a Maidan activist. He was arrested in 2014 in Crimea by Russian FSB and convicted by Russian court to 20 years in jail on charges of plotting terrorism acts, including an attempt to blow up a Lenin monument.
