A lecture "What elites does Russia really need?" was presented in Gdansk by Elena Nemirovskaya, Russian social activist.
Elena Nemirovskaya during her lecture pointed out that in modern Russia there is a lack respect for minorities. In a modern democratic state the equality of all citizens is very important, even if decisions are taken by vote and wins the voice of the majority.
Visitor of the Centre also stressed that Russia's elites must learn to understand others, and also to listen to the opinion of the other participants of social life. We need to keep in our minds that we are different, but the most important is the desire to live in peace, to live together.
