Lecture of prof. Jerzy Borejsza „January Uprising. Poland-Russia-Europe” was held in the Warsaw Royal Castle.
Another meeting within the project “Poland-Russia. Mutual portrait. Between past and present” took place on the 24 of January. This time our guest was prof. Jerzy Wojciech Borejsza, who gave a lecture titled “January Uprising Poland-Russia-Europe”.
The lecture was the 11th event under the common project of the Centre of Polish-Russian Dialogue and Understanding and the Warsaw Royal Castle. The project called “Poland-Russia-Europe. Mutual portrait. Between past and present” is carried out under the patronage of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage – Bogdan Zdrojewski.
prof. Jerzy Wojciech Borejsza – a historian, a specialist in the field of history of Poland and common history of the 19th and 20th century, professor of The Tadeusz Manteuffel Institute of History Polish Academy of Sciences and the Department of the International Political Relations in the Faculty of Political Science and International Relations of the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Torun. He is a member of the Warsaw Scientific Society, the Polish PEN Club, the Polish Writers' Association. In 1996 he was given the National Order of the Legion of Honour.
